A recent cyber-attack on Idaho Falls Community Hospitals has caused them to divert emergency ambulances elsewhere. The hospital’s digital infrastructure is crippled, and its data systems are down, leaving the hospital unable to accept new patients. The hospital is, however, taking good care of its inhouse patients and staff, using pen and paper to record information. Mountain View Hospital, owned by Idaho Falls Community Hospital, is also facing the same challenge.
The Supreme Court of Greece has ordered a scientific investigation into a cyber-attack that halted Greek high school exams. The attack targeted the database containing the questionnaire that was supposed to be answered by students this academic year. The database was disrupted by overwhelming web traffic for two days, leading to suspicions that a ransomware gang was responsible for the incident. The incident is being investigated by law enforcement.
