Edgeless Systems Raises $5M for Trustworthy Data Processing “Unlock the Power of Your Mind: Discover the Limitless Benefits of Meditation!”

German cybersecurity start-up Edgeless Systems recently announced that it has raised $5 million in seed-stage funding to help fund its open-source confidential computing stack. The financing round was led by Berlin-based venture capital outfit SquareOne, with the participation of several prominent European entrepreneurs.

The company’s flagship Constellation platform is designed to provide a secure Kubernetes experience for developers, isolating entire Kubernetes clusters from corporate infrastructure. By encrypting data at all times, even during runtime, Edgeless Systems hopes to transform the way developers work in the public cloud.

In a statement, Edgeless Systems CEO Felix Schuster commented on the plans for the seed funding, saying “We are turning the public cloud into everyone’s private cloud. With this seed investment, we will be able to expand into the U.S. market and continue research and development work on the Constellation platform.”

The Constellation platform is already being used by companies such as Bosch, IBM, and Intel. With the seed funding, Edgeless Systems is hoping to make the platform even more widely available.
