Quantum cybersecurity firm QuSecure has announced the first known end-to-end quantum resilient encrypted communications link via satellite. This link is designed to protect data delivered by satellite from classical- and quantum-computer decryption. The process starts with their Quark platform, which generates and distributes the keys. QuSecure supports all NIST-recommended post-quantum algorithms and QRNGs, giving it the flexibility to switch from one algorithm to another as necessary. This encrypted link can now be extended to satellite communications, making it resistant even to airborne data traffic. QuSecure has tested the technology with the Starlink low earth orbit satellite network, which provides redundancy and makes it difficult for an enemy to intercept and decrypt messages.
