Verosint Launches Account Fraud Detection and Prevention Platform
Security startup Verosint is launching a new account fraud detection and prevention solution as it refocuses its previous open source intelligence (OSINT) access management solution. This new product includes capabilities such as behavioral analytics, rules engine, identity graphing, and AI/ML that automatically tags different forms of account fraud. The technology, called SignalPrint, is able to predict the likelihood of fraud by capturing and tracking data about each user, and analyzing relationships and patterns to determine risk. Verosint is also taking security measures to ensure the data it collects is protected.
The need for such solutions is increasing, as fraud is becoming more pervasive and better methods for broadcasting vulnerabilities have significantly increased check fraud in North America. Verosint does not collect any data directly from users, but collects data from client logs, SIEM systems, and OSINT. To make risk decisions, the system can match users with their OSINT footprint, and if there is no data at all, it will flag the account as high risk.
Verosint is a server-side SaaS solution that can be deployed within hours. It has out-of-the-box integration with leading access management systems, and comes with additional APIs to customize risk-based responses. The Austin, Texas-based firm emerged from stealth in June 2022 with $8 million seed funding.
In summary, Verosint is an account fraud detection and prevention system that uses OSINT, data from client logs and SIEM systems, and machine learning algorithms to predict the likelihood of fraud. It also comes with security measures to protect the data it collects, and can be deployed quickly with out-of-the-box integration and additional APIs.
